Widget Configuration

The default Overview section of the EVRYTHNG Dashboard can be customized to your requirements. Besides moving and resizing existing widgets, you can remove, hide, and clone widgets.

Each reusable widget type includes some customization and filtering options, which are described in the Reusable Widgets section.

Some widget layouts are shared

Widget configuration for dashboard pages in the Shared Dashboards section is shared between all Operators in an account. This means that when one dashboard user changes a page's layout or widget configuration properties, all other users are affected.

Shared dashboards can be cloned to the My Dashboards section to enable user-specific customization.

Move or Resize Widgets

To move or resize widgets on the current page:

  1. Click the Move and resize widgets (multidirectional arrows) icon in the toolbar.
  2. Drag a widget to move it around the grid, and use the corners to resize within the grid.
  3. Click the Save (checkmark) icon to save the layout.

Configure a Widget

To customize a widget, click the menu icon in the widget's top-right corner, and choose Configure widget.

From this menu, you can also hide, clone, or delete the widget.

To show a hidden widget again:

  1. Click the Edit dashboard (pencil) icon to open the Edit Dashboard dialog.
  2. Click the section that contains the widget. Hidden widgets are indicated by a slashed-eye icon.
  3. Click the Show (slashed eye) icon for the hidden widget.

Widget Title and Description

For most of the Overview widgets, you can edit the displayed Title and Description fields to better suit your use case. For example, if a Platform project models a particular campaign, you could rename the Project Details widget "Campaigns" to show all the projects as campaigns.

Widget Filters

For widgets in the Overview section that show actions performed or active products (such as the Interactions or Active products widgets), you can choose which items are shown in the widget by using a filterable list input in the customization dialog. Use the list of suggestions to narrow down the search and choose which to display.

Grouping Extra Items

For widgets with over three or six categories of items (that is, types of actions) available, the Widget configuration dialog gives you the option of grouping these into an "Other" category. All extra items beyond the initial limit are grouped into this entry.

Cloning Widgets

Existing widgets that can be moved and resized can also be cloned to create a copy. This saves you from having to manually enter the component name and bundle URL each time. Click the menu icon and choose Clone widget. You can then configure the copy.
