Changes to Actions and Properties

We will soon be making some changes to how actions and Thng/product property histories operate. Currently, all actions and property update histories are preserved indefinitely for all Thngs/products on all accounts. This will change to introduce some sensible limits on how long these items of data will be kept around for free trial accounts. Enterprise accounts will not be affected as they benefit from access to our advanced IoT analytics tools.

What this means is that trial accounts will have a limit of six months on the lifetime of their actions and property histories. Any actions or property updates that are older than this will be deleted. Note that the properties themselves and action types will not be deleted.

If you require actions or property update histories to live longer than six months, please contact us to discuss an Enterprise account, which will not be affected by these limits, and can benefit from deeper insights through aggregated analytics on old and new property data.

We will begin enforcing these longevity limits on actions and property histories from the 27 of July 2017.
