# Legacy API (v1)

> In this section, you will find all the API concepts that are available on our legacy API (`https://api.evrythng.com`), also known as v1. These may differ from our current API, also known as v2.

We've improved our API to better support our client needs. However, in order to maintain backwards compatibility to a sustainable extent, we've kept most of the existing APIs accessible through `https://api.evrythng.io/v1` and `https://api.evrythng.com` so that you can continue using them until you're ready to make the switch to the newer version.
